Ms 2013 Inbox Will Continue to Show Read Emails as Unread
Hi Deepa,
Actually We are facing the same issue on Outlook 2013 and this is not Go daddy account.
We even have tried to removing the accounts and re-added it, but problem still is the same. We have other version of Outlook like 2010 , 2007 in our company and there is no issue with them. Please suggest. Moreover, i think MS needs to look in to this seriously and must provide the mitigation patch or update against it if it is known issue with MS then please redirect us resolution KB Url.

Who is the email service provider?
Meanwhile create a new profile and configure the email account without importing data from old profile and check the result.
Refer to the link below to know on how to create a new profile:
If the issue is fixed in the new profile, you may set the new profile as default and continue working with it.
1. Click on Start, go to control panel
2. Mail icon, Show profile.
3. Highlight the new profile and click on always use this profile

Hi Deepa,
We have tried with the New Mail profile but no luck with that and it is been observed that Outlook 2013 is only the client showing this glitch. Many User in our Cooperation facing this issue which is solely on Outlook 2013 Client. Please look in to this deeply and provide us some concrete resolution.
Moreover we are using Rackspace Email service and protocol we are using is IMAP over SSL/TLS .

Try configuring a test IMAP account in Outlook and check if the issue persists.
If the test account works fine, then the issue might be with the server. Hence you may try contacting them for further assistance.

Hi Deepa,
Don,t you think if it is server side issue, it should not effect all the MS Outlook Versions ?? we are also having Outlook 2007, 2010 running in our environment but problem only be seen with Outlook 2013.
Please suggest .

Have you installed outlook 2013 as 32 or 64 bit? If it is 64 bit then install 32 bit and check.
If this does not help then try opening Outlook in safe mode if any add-in is causing an issue.
As Deepa has suggested try with different IMAP account, if this works contact the email service provided and inform this is across all the machines installed with Outlook 2013.
Also check what happens if you disconnect the system from the network / domain.
If you use it on Home internet connection not in the organisation connection

Dear Support,
All these possible steps mitigation steps has been applied but there is no success. we are having Many Outlook 2013 running both x64 and x86 of version. But the problem persisting the same. I have even tried switches Outlook.exe /Cleanviews or Outlook.exe/safe .
Thing i have noticed . When i open Newly arrived email in reading Pane and mean time synchronization bar goes in in progress state. (See in the attached snapshot) and when i move/ select other email here after a blink previous mail again highlighted as Unread. its quite random and does not happen to every email, sometime "read" property retains after reading the emails.

Thank you for replying and sorry for the delayed response.
I would suggest you to configure any other email service provider's account who supports IMAP functionality and check if it works fine.
